IMSA Signs & Pavement Markings I March 25th - 26th 2027

The IMSA Signs & Markings Technician I exam certifies that the holder is knowledgeable about basic standards and installation procedures of traffic signs and pavement markings.

Prerequisites:

1. Current IMSA Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Technician or IMSA approved Work Zone equivalent

2. One year of experience is required in signs and pavement markings operations

Program Details:

• Federal and state standards on sign types, proper placement and maintenance techniques

• Different types of pavement markings, delineators and other marking devices that are installed on all road types

• Knowledge of The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards and students’ ability to use it to answer daily questions that may arise
